My name means ‘itinerant’ or ‘traveller’ in Arabic, which feels fitting for someone whose work has always centred on movement, growth and change. I support people and organisations on their journeys — through strategy, ceremony and coaching — helping them navigate the complex, the uncertain, and the full of potential.
My career hasn’t followed a conventional path. I grew up on free school meals, went to a state school, and studied at an inner-city London university — often working two or three jobs. But even as a child I was campaigning, fundraising, and trying to make things better in my community. That spirit stayed with me.
Over the past 20 years, I’ve led successful campaigns, supported national and global coalitions, and helped shape strategies that deliver meaningful, measurable impact. From my early days in youth work and local activism, to leading global planning and performance for a 180-strong international development organisation, I’ve always worked at the intersection of purpose and action.
I hold Competent Crew, Day Skipper, and Motorboat certifications, and I volunteer with The Ahoy Centre, a brilliant organisation using sailing and rowing to build confidence and change lives.
This year I will participate for the third time in their annual rowing challenge raising money to support their vital work.
I’ve completed WSET Level 1 (with Level 2 underway) and serve as an Ambassador for Squerryes, an English winery rooted in joy, generosity, and celebration.
